Serenity Care Partners provides non-medical home care across Cincinnati and the surrounding counties: help with bathing and dressing, meals and housekeeping, companionship, supervision, respite for family caregivers, and structured family caregiving. There is no minimum number of hours.
We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Health as a non-medical home health agency, licence 4491HHN, and we are licensed, insured and bonded. Gloria Aflya, RN, BSN — our owner and RN Clinical Manager — personally conducts the initial assessment for every new client, in the home, before any caregiver is assigned.

What home care in Cincinnati actually includes
Home care is the non-medical help that makes staying in your own home possible. It is not nursing, and it does not need a doctor’s order — which is why it can usually start faster than families expect.
The work is ordinary and it is the reason someone stays put: a shower taken safely rather than avoided, a proper meal instead of another slice of toast, laundry that gets done, a lift to the doctor, and somebody in the house who notices when something has changed.

What we do not provide, and what we do about it
Serenity holds a non-medical licence. We do not provide skilled nursing, home health nursing, wound care, medication administration or therapy, and we do not operate assisted living communities or nursing homes. Any agency that blurs that line is worth a second look.
Families still arrive needing those things, usually because nobody has explained the difference. Paying for home care in Cincinnati
The single most expensive misunderstanding families arrive with is that Medicare will cover this. It does not. Medicare pays for home health — skilled nursing and therapy on a physician’s order — and not for ongoing help with bathing, meals, housekeeping or companionship.
What does apply: private pay, a long-term care insurance policy bought years earlier, and VA Aid & Attendance for eligible wartime veterans and surviving spouses. - Non-medical home care is generally charged by the hour, and the total depends on how many hours a week are scheduled and what the care involves. Because there is no minimum number of hours at Serenity, a small schedule is a genuine option. - Does Medicare pay for home care in Ohio?
- No. Medicare covers home health — intermittent skilled nursing and therapy ordered by a physician — but it does not pay for ongoing non-medical home care such as help with bathing, dressing, meals, housekeeping or companionship. Those are paid privately, through long-term care insurance, through VA benefits, or through Ohio Medicaid.
